My Generation

I just heard the song "I Am God" by Kanye West. I guess most rappers aren't humble but this is a bit ridiculous. I hate it because, kids my age aspire to act like these rappers. I mean kids my age don't call themselves God but you get the picture. I ask myself this lots- "Why does my generation have so many idiots in it?" I don't know if it was how we're raised or if we're generally just obnoxious and rude. There are a few good kids that I know, don't get me wrong I like a lot of people. Sometimes I'm an idiot too. We all are, just some more than others. Something about partying every weekend and talking about how you got high or how you puked all over washroom floor, doesn't appeal to me. I do like to party from time to time, but it's not a necessity. Oh god, I sound like a parent, but then again not all parents are like this. From what I've learned, there's actually quite a few that aren't the smartest. I guess it's just been a downward slope which started back when they were kids. Sorry if I've offended anybody. One could say that all this partying is just kids enjoying their youth, but for the most part I find that a bit of a stretch. Or one could say YOLO, enjoy life, and what I say to them is the enjoyment won't last if you keep saying YOLO.
